Sorry, but that's not true. Not with every version, far from it.

The maps do, but the functionality doesn't always follow suit - and it hasn't in the version Tizzy quotes and the version in mine.

You make me laugh.

Thats not exactly what I said. It does improve on either maps or functionality then, but it obviously changes. I certainly found a difference in the two I've tried.

If anyone is still on 06 disks, 07 will provide an improvement of some sort or other.

They do but maybe more of one than the other or one improves and not the other.

Or do they put a new number on it and change nothing?

No, they change the maps each time, but not always the functionality.....you did infer they changed both.

Good review carmad I think you chose the best colour I can see where you are coming from with the driver fun part. Even the piece of poo I am driving with has great handling and balance Have you got the run-flats? Do you find they make the car crashy over potholes and road defects?

Chris, is the Business range of ICE standard fitment, or is it an upgrade on base model ice? I agree it is also pants. Not helped by the headunit in my car keep randomly losing tune, but the surly BMW dealer assures me nothing is wrong

To the best of my knowledge it's the standard fit, but BMW offer a whole range of stereo upgrades across models now. HiFi upgrade, Logic 7 HiFi upgrade, DAB radio upgrade etc.

I'm actually happy with the ICE in my car, it's just the SatNav I have a problem with. The HiFi upgrade mine has gives it a significant boost over standard, but I didn't personally think Logic 7 was worth the extra.

The crux of it is that if music is high on the agenda then I'd say people are best going to a local ICE specialist and spending less money for what is probably better levels of equipment.

Cheers Danksy.

I managed to get my first choice colour LeMans Blue and the Lemon leather by luck but I'm glad I got it. Looks great when the sun is glinting off it.

As for the ride / runflats, its not anything like as bad as people make out. Yes at very low speeds it seems to be bumpy, but the quicker you go the better it gets. Apparently the 2007 cars have different uprated suspension than earlier models so that might have made a difference as well. I've got Pilot Sport Zero Pressures that seem pretty good, I might go to normal tyres when the time comes and see what the difference is.

On the HiFi, having driven an e46 for a while before I got this its leagues ahead. I acutally quite like it and don't think I'm going to change it. Problem is finding a used car with all the spec they are like hens teeth especially the ones with Logic 7.

CarMad,

I was looking for forums on car care, and stumbled onto your review of the 330i.

I just bought a 330i (06 model) M-Sport Auto, Sapphire Black, Done 32k miles with lots of toys (bar heated seats) ... I totally agree on what you said. I used to drive an A3 sportback (2.0 TDi), and all of what you said is right. I was a bit worried I will miss DSG, but this baby with steptronic goes, and the engine notes sing.

I am going to give this baby a real go this weekend.

Albert
