Hi, sorry if this has come up before, I've looked throught the archives but I can't find any similar problems. I have a 2002 Audi s3, Vag-com works fine I get access to all the controllers except address 08 climate control. on autoscan or individual select module I get "excessive comms error"
the climate control works fine and I can access all the "C" codes. Can anyone explain the problem and how to get started with repairing it or is it normal? thanks in advance |

I have had a lot of comms errors with the Central Convenience especially using 2 genuine Rosstech leads on 2 Mk IV Golfs. The advice was to pull the fuse for the affected module or disconnect the battery then either leave it disconnected overnight and/or touch the +/- cables together to "bleed" all the capacitors. Both tricks seemed to work, I know disconnecting the battery loses all the fault codes so if you think there may be something wrong with the CC unit try the fuse first (don't know if loses you the errors or not)
