Range to empty

Is there anyway way of getting the VW trip computer to display the range of the tank before being empty.

I've got a mk4 R32 with the lower half trip computer, not the full screen one. I can get all the averages and instantaneous MPG, even though the manual says it should display the range, I just can't get it to come up!

Does anyone know how to make it display this?

Yes you can, you need to have an Immob 3 car (2000/2001-ish and later) and one of many computer programs tro do it (VAG Tacho etc)
