As you know, each VW dealer is merely an individual car biz which has bought a franchise and smart premises. The individual car biz will be the same as it ever was behind the smoke and mirrors.

I cant be bothered shopping around I want local, I'm too lazy to drive miles, so I just changed brand and dont buy VW any more....

Nothing like taking the expensive route then, loosing all that money on a car.
Some people it seems have more money then sense.

....I don't agree. Since when has any Golf been a "prestige" car? It's a down-to-earth well-built German car of the people. If the new Scirocco is anything to go by, it just feels tarted up with a bit of flash trim. I prefer the 'honesty' of the Mk5 interior. The Scirocco seats are good though (if you like leather - I don't).

I like the Seat Leon Cupra interior - Much more funky.

....I expect to lose a huge amount of money when I eventually sell my heavily modified Mk5 GTI. But I'm still enjoying the car as much as when I first fell in love with her - Possibly even more!

Yes Robin, But i was comenting on how because he was so lazy to not even consider other VW dealerships or in the case of servicing a specialists or VAT registered independents but to SELL the car and change brands was finiancial suicide and basically just bonkers in my eyes.
