golf 1.9td engine wont switch off

engine wont switch off on my golf just bought it at a car market so i need help,

i have to stall it to switch off.

theres a stop solenoid on the injector pump which can fail its usually a round cylinder with a connector on the top you can remove it to check it or if you switch the ign. on and off quicly a few times you should hear it clicking, hope this helps

In the mean time, you can turn it off without stalling by pressing in the EGR thingy. As you stand at the front of the car looking in the engine bay, it's underneath the driver's side wiper stalk. Push it about an inch towards the middle of the engine bay and the car will stop

someone has screwed around with the solenoid the black wire isnt connected to anything its been cut . there are 2 wires to the right of it 1 black 1 brown , is this to be connected to solenoid if so where does the brown 1 go to ?..........
