Default Golf IV Radio removal problem

Hi!

I just bought 03 Golf, and only problem is that radio isnt working properly. So, i thought about swaping the thing to new one.

Problem is, that old BP Kiel CD32 wasnt supplied with any removal tools. So how do i get it out? I tried to pull it out from the front and push from rear, but it didnt move an inch.

Is there some special keys or some tools that i might need? Two wire- looking things shown in the manual?

I appreciate a lot if anyone can help me.

Welcome to Tyresmoke Marsu

The stereo you mention isn't a standard one (the Mk4 Golf came with a VW Gamma stereo as standard.

If you go to your nearest Halfords or auto spares place, they should have a collection of stereo removal keys for you to choose from.

Or have a look here - Blaupunkt removal keys

If your lucky enough to have one of the first 2 types then a wire coat hanger will suffice - has worked for me before

Likely keys would bee those third ones.
Well, I just got the radio out with my new Pioneers removal keys, and a bit of patience, but thanks anyway.

HI , im trying to replace the stock blaupunk radio with a Pioneer DEH 2850MP but the connectors are not the same

Blaupunk's got 3 sets of DIN (black, brown and 3rd set is of 3 colors) and the Pioneer has only 1 black DIN connector which is smaller

If anyone knows how to rewire the default DINS to the new Pioneer please help ... thks

Welcome to Tyresmoke M0rph

There should be a sticker on the standard stereo with a connector diagram.
