Default 150 tdi

Hi all

When driving my womans car a few days ago i was thinking it felt a little underpowered, heading along the road i decided to rev it out in as many gears as possible to see what would happen. At 3k revs in 4th there was a knock noise and the car seemed to get alot more power and when i looked in the mirror there was smoke a lot of smoke.

Any ideas what this could be? its due a service in 1000 miles.

cheers

MOK

If TDIs are not revved through their range on a regular basis, they run like a bag of sh*t and throw black smoke out the back when they are (I presume it was black smoke, not blue)

Lots of short journeys aren't great for diesels. Tell her to rev it properly

Yea well she drives it like a girl so ill tell her to push it on a bit more often as most trips are quite short. Was black smoke so should be ok.

cheers
