Hi new to these forums and new to owning a Golf.
Bought one 2 weeks ago and it keeps going into limp mode (never got chance to test it properly before i bought it but thats my own fault). Took it for a service at the local VW dealer and informed them of the problem to which they have diagnosed as a wastegate fault therefore i need a new turbo/repair that they have quoted me £1218 to fix. Thats nearly half of what i paid or the car! Does this price seem right, it seems a lttle excessive to me after reading this forum and seeing costs down to £700 (which is still alot but i accept it aint a cheep fix). |

Hi!
Welcome to TSN. What makes you think you need a new turbo? Petrol or diesel?
