Angry bora 1.9 tdi smoke and starting problem

hi. my vw bora 1.9 tdi (p.d engine 130 bhp) has a starting problem.
when i start it from cold it starts and then cuts off. the second time i try to restart it, it takes a long time, but eventually starts. then after a few mins it starts blowing smoke out. the smoke eventually clears up once the car has warmed up, but for the last few days the smoke has been there even once its warmed up.
this happens everytime i start the car from cold.
there is no loss of power and it drives ok.
ive changed the fuel filter, and its still the same. i had the oil changed about 1 month ago. any help appreciated. thnx.

What colour is the smoke?

You might have a split air/turbo pipe.

the smoke is grey/blue, and smells of burning oil/diesel.
the smoke only lasts for about 10 mins, then its gone.
i have no loss in power.

See how it goes now your EGR is clean. Probably was the wrong amount of air/diesel mix.

I presume the oil level is OK and not reducing seriously?
Any breather pipes? If they are blocked, then they could create vacuums in teh wrong places, allowing oil to be drawn into the cylinders???

yes, oil level is ok, and it doesnt loose any oil.
ive checked the breather pipes and they are also ok.
ive noticed one thing today....when i start it, and wait for ALL the ignition lights to go off, including the airbag one, then it starts first time, but still blows smoke for about 5 min. ive spent to much cash on this car...almost over £2000, in the last year..

What have you spent the money on? If you don't mind me asking.

injector (fitted and supplied by vw) cost £860.
oil sump cost (my old one cracked and was leaking oil)
batery and starter motor
new brakes and disk
wishbone
gearbox repair
fuel filter
plus a few other bits which i cant remember. most of the work was done by vw...
not to mention the diagnostic checks...
i understand now, why they call them the stealers.
