Default Cruise Control

just wondered if anyone would know how much it would be to install cruise control on a Mk IV golf. I can get the equipment for £60 but I'm just worried about fitting myself and wondered if anyone would know or have an edducated guess as to the cost of installation.
Cheers

Check AMDs web site they give you a fitted price for cruise for several models so it should give you an idea.

There is another place that installs VAG Cruise Control that I know of. Awesome Gti in Manchester. They don't mention it on their website but a friend has just arranged to get it fitted there for about 199 + vat (saving about a ton on AMDs price)

If your looking on the web be careful many places use non VAG kit.

Just thought I would mention that V.W. Dealers were at one time, offering to "Retro fit", cruise to certain models, which I believe included 4-Motion at a price of £199. I assume this is fitting the switch/ repalcing the existing "stalk", and re-programming the ECU.

fitting cruise control is quite easy but there is a trick to most of the steps. also needs activating via VAG.COM software to operate it. took me about 2 to 3 hours. also can't be retro fitted to all golfs - what engine is it ? put the car in neutral with the handbrake on rev to about 2000 rpm then press the brake with the other foot it should return to idle if car is DBW (drive by wire - capable of cruise control retrofitting)
