Default Re: My new Recaro Sportster CS seats

Those seats do look teh business. I have the OEM Recaros and although they are extremely comfortable the folding mechanism is really cr@p and makes it real problem to let people in and out. Thankfully I don't have nayone in the back very often

£2400 for OEM Recaros, £1800 for those, seems like a no brainer to me if you were to upgrade.

When you put it like that.

Part of that £2,400 goes on the leather for the back seats. IMRC when I ordered mine the cloth Recaros were £950 and the leather was £1,600 and combined they were £2,400 as you say.

It's actually teh quality of the leather I'm dissappointed with just doesn't seem as good as that in Audis or BMWs.

True, I didn't take into account the rears.

I have the OEM recaros, and love them, but the quality is very very poor.

I agree the quality is not reflective of the price charged. I also don't understand why the qualit is relatively poor as I've had Recaros on previous cars and they were spot.

But they are really comfortable which is important to me as I spend at least 3 hours of each day sitting in them

Wear diapers please! Yes, the seat rails had to changed. The base frames and associated mechanicals are all from Recaro. Sorry, just realised I'm using my friend's TSN account. So yes its mlhj83/Marcus who typed this message.

I wondered why the bases had 'Recaro' labelling on still...
Very comfortable and nicely finished Marcus.
