So got a phone message from VW Teesside today to say the long awaited replacement front grille had come in and it was going to cost.....................................is everyone sitting down for this................... £397 for part and fitting!! Sounds way OTT to me - anyone else had to have a replacement front grille? Feel like telling them where to go and stick it but really want to get my R back in pristine condition as it really bugs me when I look at it!
Any advice appreciated.

Fitting takes all of 5 minutes. I'd tell them to shove it up their arse.

Thanks for the offer gents!! The dealer not unsurprisingly managed to knock 140 notes off his price when I told him to stick it up his arse. All done now and shes back looking in tip top shape once again.

Glad she's back to her former glory. Can't believe it took almost 6 months to get a grill! That's terrible
