Unhappy vw mk4 golf starting probs when engine hot..help

hi fellow v dub peoples,

i have a vw mk 4 golf gt tdi s reg (98-99) 119,000 on the clock

when the engine is cold ; problem with my glow plug light will only stay on for 1 sec , , the car will start but sluggish. and when the engine is HOT the car takes 5-6 turns of the key to start the car.
so i changed the temperature sensor as mentioned on other threads, but this didnt fix my problem and i still have my glow plug light only comes on for 1 sec

it has a new car battery, fully charged and alt giving out 14.8 volts when running. ive changed the 109 relay, glow plugs, temp sensor, but still dont know what the problem is? does anything know?
and what number is the relay for the glow plugs in my mk4 golf gt tdi s reg.

Try changing the coolant, refil with that pink stuff that VW use, just make sure you put the correct balance in, I have a slight bit to much in and seems to take forever to warm up, Ideal if I was living in OZ. gona have it adjusted with VW on the next service.

to follow up on the mk4 starting problems when the engine is hot...... check your starter motors! it turned out to be the connection lead between the solnoid and the main body of the starter.... I bought a new leed and connected it to the old was....ie one end goes into the brushes on the rotor, and the other end connects to the bottom of the solinoid , then i refitted the starter back in the engine...turn the key..n hey prestoe my car was fixed , even when the engine gets hot.
