  1. car's sorted... had a long day today - did the EGR delete, cleaned the turbo using mr muscle... replaced the MAF... still no boost... I'd purchased a MAP sensor earlier in the week, decided to fit that to the Intercooler and low an behold... we have boost again... so I'm happy.
  2. thanks for that... good to get an understanding of all this stuff... so that's the vanes being stuck on the turbo i'm guessing?
  3. you would know if it the turbo was gone, would be awful to drive.... the turbo could just need a good cleaning... if it is running then don't worry....
  4. Good day to all Car: VW GOLF GT TDI Year: 2002 Engine: ASZ - 130BHP Mods - Decat - Chipped using a standard map - ST3 - Road Race, R32 airbox mod otherwise standard. Issue's I've experienced... I had a boost leak (intercooler was maffed), replaced that last weekend - took the car for a nice long test drive all was fine, boost was back and it was awesome again. then the next day all went to pot... whilst driving the car it just dropped into limp mode, and no matter what - restarting the ignition would not get the car back into boost mode. when the car's been off over night the car will boost for say 5 mins in the morning when its first started, after that it will not boost again. I did clean the map sensor with some brake cleaner (thinking that should get all the oil etc off). Had it up on VAG-COM - only issue that was seen was the positive deviation - which is normally the stuck vnt, which means mine needs a good clean out. I have no smoke at all, black nor white... anyone think of any other issues that it could be? I'm going to get the car bumper off over the weekend hopefully and see if I can get everything (making sure all the pipes etc are on).
