JAYDR32
Anyone else heard any mutterings?? http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_2752162,00.html
RedRobin
....I'm not inclined to believe anything that planet-f1 report - They misreported the earlier McLaren/Ferrari fiasco.
DanG
Good. Moans like an old lady IMO. (Although he's not a bad driver )
RedRobin
IF such reports are true and Gonzo goes to Ferrari, I feel sorry for Massa who I think is a real sportsman and a gent. Btw, the link to planet-f1 doesn't work.
Golfer
[ QUOTE ] Good. Moans like an old lady IMO. (Although he's not a bad driver ) [/ QUOTE ] Seconded, good luck to them taking him on is a liability.
DHA
Did Jean Todt not say he would never drive for Ferrari last week?

Tarmac_Terrorist
It would make sense him going to Ferrari... after spending this season familiarising himself with their technology
Dave
Let's hope he does move, and fecks them up too I'd be surprised if any team wanted him after what he has done to Ron Dennis.. If i was a team principle I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
Mook
Yes and no. Unfortunately he's still a very marketable product. Look at the increase in spend from Spanish sponsors and the increase in the Spanish following of F1. Doubtless some silly buggers will take him on. It's been said in another thread - Spyker anyone...?

[/ QUOTE ] ....Now, Gonzo in a 'C team' player's car could be very entertaining! Toys out of pram on every corner! To think I used to like Alonso when he won his first championship. robin09
Well, he may still win the championship. Again. So I could understand why Ferrari may want him. Him and Kimi would be a strong line up.
RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] Him and Kimi would be a strong line up. [/ QUOTE ] .... The two drivers I dislike the most in F1 (regardless of their undoubted driving skills) and I'm a long term Ferrari fan.
robin09
If they're two of the best drivers, which they undoubtedly are, why would you not want them racing for the team you follow? Don't worry, you'll never have to listen to them talk, Hamilton manages to pad out all the ITV pre-race coverage.
RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] If they're two of the best drivers, which they undoubtedly are, why would you not want them racing for the team you follow? [/ QUOTE ] ....A good question, but I don't view F1 like football. Personally (as you ask) I balance my 'wants'. A driver I like (as a personality as well as skill) is an equal factor to the car I admire. For example, my ideal would be for Massa to win in a Ferrari (not going to happen this year). I wouldn't want Raikonnen to win in any car, even in a Ferrari. I'd love Hamilton to win because I admire his sportsmanship, skills, etc even though he's not a Ferrari driver. I'd love to see people like Button, Rosberg, Barrichello, doing better. [ QUOTE ] Don't worry, you'll never have to listen to them talk, Hamilton manages to pad out all the ITV pre-race coverage. [/ QUOTE ] ....Raikonnen is famous for having very little to say anyway and when he does it's in the most dull monotones imaginable. But I am very biassed/prejudiced on this subject. robin09
I just see Hamilton as a PR machine, he says all the right things at the right times. How much effort all the team put in backstage, and how he couldnt be where he is without them, is a soundbyte that wears thin after a while. Imagine how much more boring he would be in Finnish! Kimi doesn't appear interested in the whole media thing, his racing does the talking, then he goes and gets hammered on a yacht. I like that old fashioned no nonsense style. Very scandinavian. RedRobin
I see it quite differently: Hamilton as sincere and appreciative of his patronage and out there to enjoy his driving. Raikonnen? - I've got no respect for his selfishness. His getting hammered is just immature and if he falls off a yacht pissed it'll serve him right. We each have our own opinions .
