theduisbergkid
Any ideas folks ? Dell have some good prices, but my past experiences with them have been poor (Indian call centre useless). Prefer a 12" screen, DVDRW and wireless, don't need much more. Thanking you in advance. craigyb
Have you looked at Gateways? "Toys `R' US" sell cheap gateway models, I picked up a belter a year ago miles ahead of any spec for good money.
theduisbergkid
Thanks Craigyb, do you mean this one - http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.aspx/TruHome/TruComputers/TruComputersLaptop/778346?ref=Search ? Here's a dumb ass question - the software (MS Works) mentions 60 day trial ?!
Rustynuts
A good deal is available here. At least when it comes back into stock. Same one is also available elsewhere on the net, but be carefull to look for the right one with 2gig memory. The 1gig ones are £100 cheaper, and less other stuff aswell. [/ QUOTE ] Ordered one of these yesterday afternoon, and it was delivered at 9.00am this morning. Wifey's been playing solitaire all day, so that was money well spent, eh?
