Yeah, you need to source the bits from ebay and your dealer.

You need...

Monitor/controller £250-350 (tape or cd)

Tuner/Brain £250-£350 (BM54 you need, price depending if it has aux input and dynamic routing, 09/2205 added these functions)

Nav computer £100-350 (MKIII CD £100 and the faster MKIV DVD based system with 3D mapping is £3-350)

You will also need a retrofit loom, this plugs in the radio loom behind your stereo and then runs to the boot making it plug and play. You have to run one cable to pin 13 on teh back of the intrument cluster for speed pulse and that is it, the other end plugs into teh radio and the nav computer.

£120 from the dealer.

You will need a cage to hold it all if you don't have a cd changer, £80.

You will also need a new bit of trim for the left hand side of the boot that is deep enough to hold it all if you don't have a cd changer too.

£54 dealer.

Buy a decent SirfIII gps antenna, and slide it under the parcel shelf.

You will need a new cage to relocate the climate controls where your cubby hole is above the ashtray.

Dealer £17

If you want to add TV you need a digital tuner £300 ebay, harness from dealer for another £120, aeriels £100 and a whole load of work as they need to go in the bumper to get a reception.

Better option is buy and av input for £100 and a single din dvd player for the glovebox for £30.

Hope that helps? 169144-ok.gif

If that is the case then the best place for it is above the centre air vent but still under the dash, you pop the air vent out and shove it above the vents that lead to it, you will get full reception and it is totally hidden.

This is a great place but a pain to run the cable back to the boot, however as you are running the retrofit cable anyway it isn't a problem. 169144-ok.gif

I have the convertible retrofit guide on my work PC, PM me your email address and I will blip it over to you.
