cruiser647
This light is flashing away. The car starts fine and runs fine, but the coil light is flashing from about 20 secs after each start-up. Any ideas anyone? The car is about 8K miles from a service. I'll call my indie and ask if he can plug it in at lunchtime or something.

cruiser647
Blimey! All 3 brake lights are not working! The mrs went to Sainsbury's and I've done 60 miles this morning without no-one beeping or flashing me. I'll have a look at the fuses when I get in, and/or get then get the brake switch changed. Cheers Rusty!

cruiser647
Well, this is wierd. I played with fuse 13 and another number??? and then basically pushed the other fuses in straight as they were a bit askew. Started the car, and the rear brake lights did not respond. D'oh! So, started driving home and push the pedal REALLY hard when stationery to try to hear the brake switch, I couldn't, but the engine management light went off, and the rear lights started working - I could see them reflecting on the paintwork of the car behind. All good this morning too. Cheers Rusty! Goes to show how gently I brake...........
cruiser647
Bugger! the flashing light is back. Will try to book it in to me local indie. I presume it is the light switch? I can hear it clicking every now and then at the slightest touch, BUT not all the time.
activa
Has to be the brake pedal switch. My friends Golf just had it replaced and it too had intermitent brake lights. Cost a fiver from GSF for the switch and 5 minutes to fit.

benjie
God damn them! I bought one on Monday for £9.73 (I think) and fitted it myself in 2 min. Look for where it goes and when it goes again, you'll know what to do! (Unless it's within 2 years because they'll do it for free!)
