ChadW
It is true when they say the ex USSR has the best looking women, not sure whether it is that they have never had western feminism as such or what, but damm they are top. Currently in same boat but ideally looking for someone in East Europe itself, due to most countries now being in the EU; the visa rules are lot better than Russia itself, shame really but this current government's 'attitude' towards Moscow at the moment does not help matters. Calm Chris
I think you need to separate your dick from your brain . Firstly, we all know there's a certain type of Russian woman that would love to:- 1. get a UK passport 2. take 50% of your assets after a short marriage 3. have seriously damaging ulterior motives for finding and marrying a British lad So, How long have you known her How long have you had 24/7 company with each other Is the relationship beyond that feck fest that is early doors lust Once you've worked your way through that little lot, are you still 100% certain that you wish to love, support, marry her . If so then do it !! If not, then consider having her here, 24/7 for a long holiday or several if visa issues prevent a 90+ day stay. See each other in the grind of life- work each day, bills, rent, social worlds, visits to the extended family etc. Dip you toe in the water of living together without the star lust eyes of novelty stolen moments due to a long distance romance. Try to allow a blended mix of emotions to guide you, all head is too harsh, all heart or dick is too gullible. I wish you luck and it's your shout, not mine or anyone else's

ChadW
Sorry chri5 but your points 1 and 2 would equally apply to any British girl you could meet and marry surely. The trick here is that the scammers are dead easy to spot as they will just ask for money, either for letter translation or visa app. fees, neither really exist so they are good warnings. Agree you have to put in a lot of time, either visiting there or ensuring your visa applications are correct, otherwise like any other long distance relationship it will fail. Best thing is meet up twice, once ideally in a neutral location, Prague for example, only thenw will you be in a better position ot get a 'sponers' visa, although it is tough to get one these days, just wished the EU and the west 'get' Russia and its people. Calm Chris
Point 1 "Get a UK Passport" I'd think most Brit's and Euro peeps already have one . At best, it's been a long distance affair- from experience they are NOT the same as living together 24/7 x 365 x life I'm pretty sure that visa / permission for marriage contains a heap of sponsorship clauses regarding medical, educational and benefit / financial responsibility. So the relationship doesn't work, she gets a heap on money, a passport, social security and N3WOB has to further assist financially . I'd recommend the try, before you set the decision in stone. Live together for a year, make sure your right for each other before the legal knot is tied. Otherwise......... It's like playing Russian Roulette

RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] Russian women ? Gorgeous and dangerous, in equal measures.... [/ QUOTE ] ....You're not wrong! It's a lethal cocktail. There's something about those languages which is seriously sexy (possibly more so when you don't know what is being said!) - Very sultry and their accent when speaking English has similar effects. Though not Russian, I spent over 6 hours on Saturday editing a Polish lady's soft rap track on one of our songs (to be included on our forthcoming CD "Either Side Of Now")....Amazing language sounds. N3WOB
I'm normally pretty good at holding onto my dosh and not having me trousers pulled down in business & my private life. My recent shafting on the stock market is an unusual blot on my cv. NO intentions of making any serious commitments, rest easy! Live together for a year, make sure your right for each other before the legal knot is tied. Otherwise......... It's like playing Russian Roulette [/ QUOTE ] What I mean't was that ok I meet a UK based girl who has never been abroad, so we go away together, so she 'gets UK Passport', we marry, then it goes pear shaped and we divorce and she get 50% of everything, so what is the difference here? Long distance relationship is more prone to failure but the fact is that Russian women are fed up with their men, due to the fact that there are so many blummin' fit women there, the men tend to be too adulterous for their own good. Amazing how genuine the women I have met seem, the girl I met last xmas actually wanted to live in France but cause she liked me she wanted to come to the UK. Also you can have pre-marital agreements in Russia too, ok she will get help here just like any other citizen but not sure I would have to pay any more after the divorce was through.
