Woppum
I am currently weighing up the pros and cons of getting a spare set of CSL wheels with cups for the track. The cons really are the cash, although I wont loose much money on them, and the investment in time changing the wheels before and after each track day. Anyway, ill let Excell and whether I find some space at the flat dictate the outcome. My real decision is what colour I should get the wheels painted. Im thinking ninja green, British racing green or burnt orange? What do you lot think?
Woppum
Actually, if anyone wants to do me a big favor, id really apreciate a chop of my car (in sig) with green and orange wheels.Id man love you forever!

Woppum
[ QUOTE ] I'm not sure about green Sam, shall I try orange? [/ QUOTE ] Go for it! Just had a word with my fashion guru mum and she has said both ninja green and burnt orange are quite cool. Now just have to find some fecker brave enough to fit them... if finances allow of course! Andrew
In all honesty I would be surprised if you held good value on a set of CSL wheels painted a lurid colour. You could always change them back I guess. (I trust you were joking about the orange efforts ...)
Arch
I can't really see much point in repainting a set for the track which are only going to end up covered in brake dust and possibly chipped/scratched. If I was you, I'd buy a new set for keepers and use the current ones for the track.
Woppum
Nope I want a fun set for the track. The black ones are for the road. In all honesty, in the long run im thinking of keeping this car as a track car, and possibly the new CSL for the road when and if that comes out. I cant say enough that I was amazed with its abilities and I think coloured wheels would be alot of fun. If I do come to sell it I could get them painted back, or if not im sure there i a track punter out there who would enjoy the wheels as much as me. Wallachie
Green for me Sam, purple and the blue are truly Halfords specials that would be more suited to a tarted up Mk 2 Fiesta! What about a deep red/burgundy anodised colour?

Thorburn
Would be easier to do if you have a picture of the car before the wheels were black, hard to separate the wheels from the tyres. My vote goes for the green.

Drinks
That was the only half decent picture I could find on the web as well gIzzE. I'd downloaded it to play with later. So that's saved me a job.
Woppum
[ QUOTE ] Bit rough, but.... [/ QUOTE ] Cheers Guy. I have just been outbid on ebay here, I was in at a max bid of £750. I dont think I want to spend any more than that on a set of wheels off ebay as I can get a new set from Simpsons for around £1100. Still not decided on colour though. Not sure the green is as nice as id thought it would be. Possibly needs to be a bit darker, but there is no way I can try before I buy. Steadily starting to go off the idea too as I still havent found a place to store them and the jack par my parents house, which is time away from mine. Ill sit and ponder, im good at that. Thanks for all the efforts though guys!
gizze
A candy apple red that matches the rear tail lights might look quite nice?
