mlhj83
Sprint booster is good in terms of giving a significantly quicker throttle response as it increases the sensitivity to the depression of the throttle pedal, but it might be a bit too frantic for normal usage. Since you already have a catback exhaust system, you are actually better off spending your money on a custom remap from a reputable tuner in addition to an appropriate air intake or air filter. The difference is noticeable. I don't actually think the R32 is electornically limited to 155, as it is probably out of steam to go any further. You do have to note that when you are travelling at the indicated speedometer speed of 155mph, you are really only going at around 140-145mph. I have confirmed this, using both GPS and the climate control speed indicator on a flat road. I have to reach a speedometer indicated speed of around 170mph to be travelling at a true 155mph. I have since managed to hit a true 160mph after the mods that I have done. Inflating your tyres to the pressure specification of a fully loaded car will make the top speed slightly higher. SkyNet
Is the BMC panel filter better that BMC CDA, before remapping... The cost is sick on CDA!! £

packa
Mk v .:R are electronically limited to 155mph.
macdaddyR32
If you have the car Revo'd then the limit appears to dissapear. Mine pulls straight through the rev range and well into the red with no power loss.

mlhj83
[ QUOTE ] Mk v .:R are electronically limited to 155mph. [/ QUOTE ] The reason why I said that there isn't a electronic limiter is because I was told that there isn't a electronic limiter by the person responsible for the remap when I asked him to have it removed. More importantly, I wish the speedo on our Mk5s could be more accurate, a 15mph deficit whilst travelling at an indicated 155mph is unacceptable. Mook
AmD removed the speed limiter on my Mk4 when they took it to Stage 4 (the spec'd top speed was 154mph on the Mk4). I can also confirm that it definitely went way over that on the Autobahn on the way to the 'Ring. Helfinger in the passenger seat with a GPS tracking set-up. 168mph(GPS)/174(speedo) before I decided I'd had enough. Must have been worth all the money I spent on that car
mlhj83
Interesting. I will have a word with APS, and see what they say. I would most definitely like to have my speed limiter removed if there was one. 168mph is fantastic for a hatch! What were your cam profiles again?
