RedRobin
I saw the trailer....Looked like a load of schoolboy drivel imo. I like TopGear but much prefer it when the programme mix is more about cars than antics, even when funny. I think I now prefer Fifth Gear.

[/ QUOTE ] ....the dark side?? lol! actually, I've been impressed by 5th Gear this series. Good layout, good format, good balance of material and good presenters. Top Gear has got it's work cut out this time around.

Still don't like the Tiff/Plato track stuff. Much prefer to get a good road review done, more trips to Europe would be good. But other than that it's up to date and topical. RedRobin
I think the Fifth Gear prog makers have been quite clever by now giving viewers a bit more directly car-related content than TG. Also, TG's 'off-topic' antics hysterically funny as some have been (but not all) are very difficult to top. Now that FG has become more like TG used to be, TG is obliged to be different and has difficulty going back to including more car content without then becoming too similar to FG - The same but just with different presenters. There's no doubt that JC's wit is awesome but, like his so-called 'car reviews' in the Sunday Times etc there's precious little about the car.
