AudiPartner
Just bought myself one of the new ipods for the gym. Seems fine, but as a novice I just wanted to check to see whether I should be upgrading the earphones. Of course I am well aware that there are better earphones around, but are there any worth going for without spending a fortune?
Andrew
I spent £45 on sime Shure E2C earphones and they are pretty good. Not overly bassy but that is probably to the benefit of my eardrums!

I am going to try the E2C's next tho.

RobK
I have the Etymotic ER-6i and they sound fantastic. The sound isolation means that you can hear the music a lot better without all the background noise. Slightly pricey at about £60 but worth it. Sheds
A vote for CX300's here. I bought some shure E3c and at 5x the price I think they are twice as crap. They were very clear and all but a right pain trying to get a good ear seal and thus any decent base.
Muppet_man
The Shures are excellent, you could also try the new JBL ones (if you can find them) very similar to the Shures really but very affordable. Cheers
