Dave
I know some of you guys on here enjoy your watches and was wondering what you do when you go on holiday. Do you wear your watch and think "What the hell, it's insured"?, or do you leave it at home..? I tend to go with the first option, but then my watch isn't all that flash. CabGirl
I tend to take mine with me but then I go to nice resorts - and it only cost around £800! Perhaps if I was going somewhere like Rio I might leave it at home or buy something different...
scooby_simon
Wear mine all the time, even sailing.
Mac
I have my every day tag that I wear everywhere - has even done over 300 dives with me and is still fine I've also a few others watches that I use too depending on where I'm going. For example my Citizen Titanium Skyhawk is fantastic at multiple time zones so if I'm doing the Aus/US trips it's fantastical.

R32Geordie
GMT II diving, swimming, whatever.
bazza_g
I think my Breitling is pretty subtle so it gets worn almost all the time. The only time its left in the hotel/chalet safe is when skiing as I've got a thing about stacking it and breaking the bracelet
Luke
dont see the point in buying an expensive watch and never wearing it. I wear my GMT, all day every day. If you leave it in the box you'll get paranoid and worry about evertime you use it. Get a few scratches on it and wear it
Calm Chris
In civilised parts, I wear my Cartier or even the IWC. If going 3rd world, it's too vulgar to wear any watch other than a cheapie. A £2k+ watch in Countries that pay an average yearly wage of less than £1000 is vulgar and also far to 'attention' making. Ditto all expensive jewellery, wife would never take her £5k+ worth of diamonds and general jewelery to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Caribbean. Thinking about it she tends to only wear the serious bling in very safe Countries
Luke
What, like the UK or the States?

leesykoi
Wear my Rolex submariner every day for work as it's a watch at the end of the day but agree and do as some previous posts ie when in underpriviliged area's eg parts of the caribbean, south america etc leave it in the safe. At the end of the day in these situations it is rather vulgar and provacative ....
fresco1
Security briefings at my previous employment would normally advise me to leave behind expensive watches and gadgets when working in areas such as Orange Farm (outside Jo'Burg) and certain parts of Indonesia / Middle East / East Africa. I used to keep a cheap Swatch for certain countries, but nowadays don't really care to be honest! Always sensible to consider how best to blend in, re. watches, bling, etc. Just in case .... Rachel
I wear mine everywhere when I travel domestically (they are insured), and am careful where I travel overseas.
pitch3110
Another tick here for wearing it. Had my Breitling 6 years & never been off my wrist, but I do think they are understated sign of quality & not as brash & in ya face as some makes of the same price.... scooby_simon
Crazy thing with my insurance... If I wear it out sailing, it's insured. If I lock it in the car while I go saling, It's not insured.
