mattcony
I was woking on a New 53 reg std Golf today 110 TDI I think, anyway it was basic spec but I noticed It had a Full size Digital display between the clocks which showed the pic of the car when the doors are open and the steering wheel had remote controls on it for the Audio and Cruise. I have never seen a Golf before with controls on the wheel, as I think this is the 1 BIGGEST let down in my R32 not having this facility esp when your ragging it round the country lanes. As the R32 is/was ment to be the flag ship Golf you would have thought it would of had all the bells on out of the box Could these be retro fitted in anyway do you think ? cheers matt
Sven
In the Audi S8 they're not on the Sports steering wheel either, just the Tiptronic switches, whereas they are on the std. wheel in the A8 (but no Tip there). I think it's a sports vs luxury thing. And to be honest, I like the clean looks of the sports wheel much better!
danksy
I had these on my old golf, it was part of the Multi Function Steering Wheel package and included cruise control also. My DIS also showed the full doors opening etc. the car was built Aug. 2002.
