shao_khan Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 Couple of days away - so brought the new (second hand) laptop - just installing MS office 2003 and I get this :[0x80180114] validation error. Having now looked it must have had a previous version of office - I cant remove it as I have no disks for this version - and my licenced version is different???? Any offers? If you put that error code into the Microsoft support website, it should come back with instruction on how to remove the old version and then install the new. If i remember correctly, you have to delete certain registry keys and then the contents from the MS directory. Or I could be mixing this up with something else.
