wyliss
Just had a look at Nathans thread....spot on as usual. Quick question, when taping up for example the bonnet edge leading to the front wing he put tape which goes onto both parts by a few mill, wont that leave an edge of treated paint and untreated paint with it being covered up? Mook
I've often wondered about this and I guess it gets finished by hand after the machine polish?
wyliss
I'm sure one of the Pro's will be along soon to put our querie to rest.............
drpellypo
When I tape up, I tape the opposing panel edge, so when doing the boot, the back quarter edge is covered, and when doing the back quarter, the boot edge is covered. That way nothing is missed on the machine.
maersk
What about the 'thinner' edges of the panels?
bodger00
I remember reading in one of Nathan's posts that he polishes these bits up by hand at the end of the detail. He said that its better to do that than risk the paint on the edges.
alexc
In most cases, any areas which are too delicate to be polished by machine or are not accessible should be finished by hand...
