Scotty
I've ripped some new CD's (not using iTunes) and they now reside in "My Music". iTunes points to this location and I have all my other albums in iTunes. How do I get iTunes to get up to date? Is there an automatic method? What's the manual method. The only thing I've found is that if I "Add Folder to library" and point at the same place, it works but takes ages. Alternatively I can import but again I'd have to point at each album. Surely there's an easy way?
Mook
Drag the music files from the Desktop to iTunes when it's running and it'll import them for you and it should leave the files where they are.
Scotty
Aha! Cheers. It's still not seemless though. If I omit one drag and drop then it simply won't be in there. Surely other people must want iTunes to be in line with what ever's in the Music Library without having to do this? One other question, why does it do this "Determining Song Volume" for every new track when I don't have Sound Check ticked? It really slows it down
CarMad
I don't think there is, Itunes isn't the best sometimes. I just tell it to add to library on the track I've added and away it goes. It does only add the new ones though, but it will possibly try and add all the album art again, not sure.
