I've ended up with a good price that I'm reasonably happy with (i.e. the best of a bad bunch) but what I couldn't believe is that the prices for different insurers changed with the comparison sites. For example:- Swinton - gocompare.com £591 confused.com £815 Kwik Fit - gocompare.com £717 confused.com £741 (confused's cheapest!) alera Posted January 4, 2008 Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 It all down to the "Assumptions" the generic quote systems use. They have their uses but several main players are not available direct line, tescos etc etc etc. Use them but make sure you cover the gaps as well...and make sure you check the quote and make sure the "assumptions" are correct.
