Sc00t
Against a new M3 which is fully loaded in black with 19" wheels and Logic 7. The M3 is not up on the BMW system yet but i think list was around £56000/£57000 and they want £50000. Now i didn't really fancy a change but £32500 for my fully loaded ( and it is ) 335D M sport Touring seems a good offer, and im tempted. I've covered nearly 18000 miles in it and its only because the offer is so good that im interested. Should i snap their hand off or drink some strong coffee and remind myself of the 18mpg ? Andrew
Does your current car have any finance on it to pay off? Seems too that a touring car is quite a long way away from an M3 - will that matter?

Sc00t
Buying and funding the vehicle is not a problem for me. I just have this terrible habbit as im self employed of being a bit careful when buying items like this. If they had offered me £30000 i would of said no , the fact thats its £32500 has got me tempted as it looks a good deal. I don't really need a touring right at this moment either. I think the position im in would be best described as seeing something in a sale that i dont really need but looks too good to miss. I'm on the coffee now. You will get £34k for that no problem in a private sale, so hold out and then buy one of the M3's at £48k. Personally I wouldn't bother, I would wait for the DCT car, and I bet yours will stil be worth £32k when it arrives.

gizze
I bought a 320d sport touring to replace the 120d with. To be honest I am looking forward to getting 45+ mpg from the efficient dynamics crap. I was considering a 335d sport touring again, but none have the right spec. L7 was a must this time as I love it in the 1er, and the only one I found that had it had no feckin' nav!! Yours has everything on it, it will sell privately for that reason alone, the only ones out there with nearly all the spec yours has are £38k+ and they don't want to haggle either, I tried. Scott, as soon as you have had the M3 for a few weeks you will regret it mate. Your 335d is pretty much a perfect motor. I would hold on and at least wait for the DCT to arrive, by that time people will realise the discounts on 335d's are pretty poor and you will get as much as you are being offered now, maybe more. Sc00t
Guy , if you fill the beast up it will do no less than 400 miles from a tank. I'm serious ! 430/450 from a tank full of derv is normal and i've done 500 on long trips. I think you do a lot more motorway miles too so you'll be looking at the latter . The DMS remap as you know will mean you have sumptuous power on tap all the time, and my car has all the bells and whistles. New rear tyres were fitted 5000 miles ago and the fronts have about 6/7000 left in them. If you feel the urge contact me and i will have it fully prepped for you by my local dealer. It's better than the 535D by a good 20% m8 , apart from HUD that is!
gizze
Scott, if I hadn't bought the 320d I would have seriously considered it mate, but I made a decision that I really need to buy a car that can be the family load lugger, something we can take down to the South Of France, rack the miles up and give us superb mpg figures. I took one out for a test and it was showing 47mpg and over 55mpg when reset on the motorway sat at 80mph. When I got back to the dealers the car was still showing 600 miles left in the tank and it was not absolutely full! Ask me again in 3-6 months if you don't chop it in next week, I may be tempted then.

Merlot
Don't buy the M3 - I kept mine two weeks, crap fuel range, tight seats (won't bother you coming from a 335d) and no auto (from your perspective). The 535d I have is a better car for me, just as fast in the real world, easy to drive and no need to stop every 200 miles. I'm sure the 335d suits you better. PS Part of the reason I got out of the M3 was that the DCT will kill residuals for the manual car in three months time. Ditto will happen with the 911 when Porsche bring out their DCT later this year.
Woppum
Angus (who has a white M3 on BM3W) has said the BM is faster than his 996Gt3 RS on most roads. He totally loves the car. Think you could be very happy with it until your GT-R arrives.

S3_Scot
i am sure it will be good but it is not a manual which has both its positives and negitives. not everyone will feel this way but many people will so why will it hit manual prices? only one vote for dsg ,,
