drpellypo
OK, so maybe it's not *quite* a classic, but it's iconic, nonetheless! For a G reg car, it was in top condition. However, it had seen some automatic car washes, and had suffered as a result. Not to worry - Mr Wonderdetail to the rescue! This was what I was greeted with on a very very very cold morning. Swirly swirly Actually, I think some of those pics are post washing. To summarise: Vehicle pre-foamed with wonder foam. TBW with hyperwash Clayed using Sonus Green and LT as lube Dried PTG came out shockingly low on some panels - and over 250 on others. Closer inspection revealed this car had seem some respraying. I must say though, they had done a pretty good job. In fact, the orange peel on the non resprayed panels was worse than that of the resprayed ones. Some panels after one hit with IP 3.02 on a megs polishing pad: Interior done with 303 aerospace on an MF. Luuurvely interior on these cars. Hasn't dated at all in my opinion! Vehicle was finished with EZ glaze and Vics Concours te spritzd and wiped down with Megs Ultimate Detailer. Door shuts, interior metal etc done with APC with an MF. Exterior trim done with 303, glass with Megs NXT glass, and tyres with Mothers tyre dressing. Unfortunately, the sun had gone when I came to take these pictures, so not to showey-offey. Final shots: It had started to get even colder (and damper) by this point, hence the mist on the bonnet. Gotta sneak some more pics in of the lurvley interior:

MajorH
Good work and a lovely looking motor to boot, it's a real shame how so few of the iconic affordable performance(ish) cars remain in un chaved original form.
bpsmith
I have seen these come up quite often recently but either with Dimma or Rieger wide body kits! Totally could not drive one in that form! Would have to be a mint, clean and straight example for me to stray away from VAG. Awesome work btw, as forgot to say above. drpellypo
Geoff - the mix of products was actually due to me forgetting to pack the van with my usual combo! The products I used were very much sleeper ones, but excellent nontheless!
