Gren Posted January 11, 2008 Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 My net connection disappeared yeterday morning! 2 different laptops can connect wirelessly to the router but can't see the net. The router config page says unconnected and will not connect. Have reset it and reloaded config but no good. Have left emails with Tiscali (I know, I know) support and opened a thread on their forum but am not expecting much. Will probably have to phone them. Have had trouble free service from them for 2 years apart from 1 24hr outage when some kit in one of their hubs failed. Don;t think its the same as that time thousands were affected and it showed up on the forums pretty quick. Any ideas, my only immediate thought when I get home is to try the modem that originally came with the service to make sure its not my router. Then I guess its time to get the line checked..... Gren Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 Bugger me if the helpline didn't sort me out.........the 'suspiciously' easy solution of powering down everything and re-entering all my router settings. Despite me doing countless power cycles and reloading config files a couple of times. Oh well, sometime the call centres who read solutions from crib sheets get it right.
