leesykoi
Hi Guys, On my 520 i've got a BMW fitted iPod adaptor fitted in the gluebox that charges the iPod and also allows me to play my tunes through the iDrive system. Does anyone know if this is a permanent 'live' ie if i leave the iPod in overnight will this flatten the battery ? Thks. Lee.
Biscuits
The iPod is kept charged all the time, I keep mine in the car 24/7 (well... apart from when I update it)

gizze
No, after 15 minutes the whole car shuts down, so no problem, you can leave it for weeks and it doesn't drain anything.
Golfer
On this topic, can I plug the "memory stick" straight into the usb socket?.

gizze
And if you have telematics and BMW assist you can send directions and contacts to your car using googlemaps on your pc. So get an email from someone, find the adress on google maps and forward it to your car, all there waiting for you when you start your journey. gizze
You set up the email address with bmw, and you email it over.

Biscuits
You can do the same kind of thing for business address/telephone details using GOOGLE MAPS. Just type in the business your looking for, the map pops up (usually). Click SEND, then to CAR, select BMW UK and use your mobile number replacing the first zero for 44 (country code). Go to MY INFO in COMMUNICATIONS and check for messages, BINGO !
