stevej69
I know this question has probably been asked before but im trying to be a bit model specific here. I've just bought a B7 A4 2.0 TFDI S-Line Quattro Special Edition (possibly the longest model name in the world!), everything says it is fitted with the 220ps 2.0TFSI Engine, but it only has a silver T on the back and not the Red T. I thought the 220PS had the Red T on the back or did they just not bother on the special edition. Not that im overly bothered, just curious. Any ideas? gizze
I thought it was a red T too on the upgraded versions. What does it say on your log book? What did it say on the hpi check??
stevej69
i've only just got it so im waiting for all the revised docs to come back. I've just checked the brochure and it defaintely says the special edition is 220PS and it has the black exhaust pipes and cross drilled front disks. Perhaps they were just trying to be understated :-)
Landatec
My car was new in October 2007 and came with a silver / chrome "T" at the back. Checked 3 others at the local Audi dealer today and they are also silver / chrome!
nordberg
Agreed. Mine has a red T but I looked at several SE's that had silver Ts. Don't forget it's an end of line special so there will be inconsistencies.

robpink
Hi Steve, there should be a sticker in the spare wheel well which will have power output printed on it in KW, 220 ps is about 163KW
Highlander
Red T here & the boot sticker says 163KW. I always thought that the red T signified a higher state of tune to the normal engine. I had a 1.8T Quattro about 8 years ago which had a 180 bhp engine & that had a red T on the boot
PetrolDave
[ QUOTE ] I always thought that the red T signified a higher state of tune to the normal engine. [/ QUOTE ] It does - but as said already this is a "run-out" model so possibly the factory are using what they can still get - meaning some have a silver T and some a red T.
