jettadeluxe
I'm wondering whether that's actually polished aluminium, since all of the plastics (bumpers/sidetrim/B pillar trims) are actually in non reflective silver? I have seen a few cars painted with Alsa Corps chrome paint however?
jettadeluxe
In fact, this D3 has a polished body, and the plastics have been painted in Alsa Corp. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLmkS91rXLo

LostKiwi
Here is the story of it. Its got forced induction too - 450HP.... nice.... I suspect UK plod may not like it though as they may deem it dangerous due to the way it reflects sunlight and dazzles other drivers... just as they banned reflective windows. [/ QUOTE ] Surely all windows are reflective by nature of the material they are made from? You get sun glare off other cars' windows?
Ska
I saw one like this years ago being driven down the Marylebone road in London, it was only a few few feet away from me and what got me into likking A8's ( I saw passed the mirror finish. It was clad with a full matt black car bra inc the side panels but still stood out a fair bit to say the least
LostKiwi
If you remember there used to be a fad for mirrored glass years ago. Then the police had it banned for 'safety' reasons as it was found to be so highly reflective when the sun was low that it dazzled other drivers. True standard glass does too, but not to quite the same extent. Its like the difference between a pane of ordinary glass and a mirror... The standard glass will reflect under some circumstances (where light hits the surface at an angle greater than the angle of reflectance - but even then an amount of light is transmitted through the glass) but a mirror will always reflect 100% no matter what the angle is... Botang
Figure11's car will be like that in about 12 months time as he'll have washed all the paint away, can you imagine the glare off the orange buckets though
