Baldrik
I am thinking of investing in an orbital polisher. Preferably a cordless on cos I don't want to run a long lead to the car if I can help it. I have a cordless drill. Does anyone have experience with a polisher adaptor for a drill? Would that be an option worth considering? Also what is the deal when using it? Do people us it for polishing and waxing?
steelwind101
Hi, do a quick a search for polishers and everything is there. But basically, there are not buffers that can break down polishes that are cordless. Turning a drill in to buffer doesnt work to well either, it wont have a random orbit which means it probably isnt beginner safe and im not sure they can really generate enough spin to break down serious polishes. I know Sonus do an adapter for a drill but i think its for spot work with a 4" pad and very light polishes. You have a couple of options, which are either The Meguiars 220 or the Cyclo. Both are very effective polishers, work with all polishes and have plenty of pads avalible. There is also the rotatry, it requires more practise and understanding of polishes and polishing action. It is faster at breaking products and achieve good results quicker. Geoff
