Riz
Anybody know where these are blanked out? surely if they were a proper mesh grill like the main center one it would help air flow? Riz
Smudge
Hey Riz, yeah, mine were taken off the first time she was towed. The reason these are blanked out is because behind them is nothing but painted metal looking messy, so I guess they cut corners & put in the blank vents to cover it all up. One side has the bit you screw your towing hook into & the other, actually I can't remember!!

The nearside panel has the horn behind it, not very pretty and liable to get covered in cack.

R32North
Hmmm, still think there must be a reason / solution to why we have filled in side air-intakes and the US don't. They look so much better when 'open'. Plus, Specialist VW in Kirkcaldy are preety cool bunch of guys. They guys in parts / bodyshop know their cars and having spoken to them I'm pretty sure they'll know what I'm on about!

ChrisR32
What about the lower side grills with the driving lights in them? ala RS4? Any-one know whether this could be an option?
Paul
[ QUOTE ] driving lights in them [/ QUOTE ] FOG lights.
ChrisR32
No, if i call them 'fog lights', then i can only use them in the fog, whereas 'driving lights' can be used as soon as it gets slightly dusk Or when i reach the MaccyD's car-park!! Just need to find a correct lighting loop for my neon under-car lights now................
JaffaCake
One of the main reasons I love the R32 is as it doesn't have front fogs. I hate dicks who feel the need to use them when it's not foggy, they should all be prosecuted. Just my personal opinion, to which I am entitled.
