steelwind101
Hello! Taping every time you wax might not be so easy! But certantly applying your trim dressing BUT NOT buffing it then applying your wax is a sure fire way to cut down on the white residue. Then when your wax hazes, buff it off and buff your trim. There are a few firms like Duragloss who sell a wax eraser, i cant say how good it is in a shoe polish type container and you can just touch up those white areas. More so, not all LSP's stain trim, mostly polishes as they contain chemical cleaners and dust which gets in the porus plastic. If this is you, why not switch to a "purer" LSP.
