AZURES3
Following last week investigation to the engine bay whoosing/meatlic noise on idle when cold. The new tensioner was fitted today and the noise is still there so Guildford Audi have kept the car in and ordered the 3 other tensioners just in case. He mentioned they had the camblet off and the main tensioner removed ready for the parts. It seemed crazy to me to put the old belt back on after 15,000 miles so asked if they thought I should change it. Basically the labour is covered by Audi for the work so he said it was a good idea and will only be about £32 for the belt. It will then be marked on the system that it can be done 15,000 miles more than normal is wanted. So fingers crossed it will sort the issue. Audi must have been generous as they also agreed as my wheels were in such good condition and the car was etc they would pay for a 4 wheel laser alignment and all necessary adjustment. According to the guy at Guildford Audi this could be up to £250 worth of work if everything needs adjusting bu the check alone is £110. AZ

AZURES3
Tensioners replaced and tracking check omcplete with a minor adjustment required. They also gave the car a free health check, which was almost like an MOT/Service with the sheet included. Great service once again and a free min box of Guildford Audi branded Thorntons as a thanks for using them for the work AZ
