Hi Mike

They are quoting around 40BHP increase and around 70NM Torque gain.

I have also been given a few quid off for posting a review on Tyresmoke, therefore am paying £299 with free remap(s) again if the ECU gets re-flashed by a dealer.

Will post the full review on Wednesday.

Are they offering the rolling road checks before and after within the price quoted. It will be a good indication of what has been achieved, although the ultimate test is if you are happy with the gains.

Well, as promised - here's the review....

Unfortunately I was asked to sit in on an interview at work, so I couldn't go along to see the whole process myself. I was going to postpone, but my impatience and Paramount's offer to collect and drop the car back meant I had the car done on Tuesday as planned.

Firstly, I'll say that the guys at Paramount were very good to deal with, they always called when they said they would and the guys collected and droppped the car back at the times agreed.

So the net result of the work is an additional 47BHP, the car was actually running at 148BHP prior to the remap and is now at 195BHP. I don't have a read out of the torque but was told it's around a 40Lb/ft increase.

The car actually feels quite a bit smoother and the extra torque just makes the car feel very responsive.

For those of you not aware, I nearly traded the A3 in for an RX8 last week but I was put off by the total lack of torque and the fact that you had to change down a gear to accelerate with any great haste! Obviously the handling on the A3 is not on a par with the Mazda but overall I would say it's as much fun now with the extra torque. Oh and the fact that I got 56.3MPG driving home last night also helps smile.gif

All in all, for £299 + VAT, I'd say I am well pleased with the result and this price also includes free remaps if the ECU gets reset for any reason.

£300 just became £350 with the addition of the VAT. Still, 195bhp might convince me to have a look at getting the Altea tweaked. laugh.gif
