ahaydock
Does anyone know when the A3 facelift will get announced? I thought it was Geneva? TIA
shao_khan
technically it has been announced with the A3 Cabrio - this as I understand is the basis for the rest of the A3 model range. I suspect knowing Audi you'll see sportback first middle year and then Hatch later.
Mook
If you look at the face and headlights of the A3 cab, they've changed quite a bit - including DRLs
ahaydock
Thanks guys and yep can see the changes on the Cab and assumed that would roll out to the rest of the A3 range - just wondered when?

ahaydock
Thanks for that - although that looks like more than just the facelift to me? Hard to tell...
Merlot
That's always the sign of a good facelift - not being able to tell the difference. I've got a facelift 535d M Sport and it looks the same as all the older ones that pass me on the motorway. Mind you I had a 987S and couldn't tell the difference externally to a 986S. Merlot
...well apart from the headlights - but it looked the same from the side and back.
TonyD
Hey guys. I'm thinking of buying a 57 plate used S3 and I've asked the dealers who have no intention of telling me if it's about to be facelifted as they are denying it. So does anyone know any different? Merlot
Dealers always deny a new car is on the horizon until there is a polished one sat in their showroom. Ask them to confirm in writing that there will be no facelift A3/S3 in 2008.
h5djr
[ QUOTE ] Dealers always deny a new car is on the horizon until there is a polished one sat in their showroom. Ask them to confirm in writing that there will be no facelift A3/S3 in 2008. [/ QUOTE ] All they will do is say they have not yet been given any definite information by Audi UK. Details of any model year changes are not normally given to dealers until around May time. No doubt lots of rumours but nothing definite.
Merlot
All true and because Audi UK don't tell the dealers of anything officially until the last minute the charade is maintained. I know its good business sense but its wrong to tell punters that a facelift is not due when 5 mins on the web will show a facelifted car.
zedman
when i bought my A3 a couple of years back i got the first one they had with the single frame grill, they were quite happy to order me a facelift car and told me i'd have to wait a bit longer for it - but they were totally co-operative
Merlot
They probably had little physical stock.
