paul_tdi
Selling on behalf of the folks here. In VGC as you would expect of a car of this age. Starting price is what they have been offered part ex.
Calm Chris
Sorry Paul, but that is silly money. Spec maybe very good, and I know it's got the newer (177 bhp / 128g)engine in it but £27k is on the heavy side. I'd suggest you take the (hopefully) discounted RRP price paid and knock a further 15-20% off, that should give you a better and more realistic selling price. Painfull, but that is the market at the moment.
dgl
From what I can gather, Paul is saying he's been offered that as a part ex? Surely not, seems very high!
962C
Coupe models must be worth a fair bit more than saloons, and probably hold their value better too. Minor sub note for selling a car Paul - NEVER leave the mileage out the advert. If mileage is growing daily, round it up. Scumbags who sell cars 'sold as seen' don't list the mileage as they don't want anything written and they don't want and come back from the new owner when they realise it is clocked. You are not a scumbag and have not clocked the car, hence don't follow their trait of not declaring the mileage in the ad.
Soapsuds
£27k As has been said, way overpriced..... Ps - he has put the mileage in..... 8500 and in daily use.
paul_tdi
Thanks all for the advice, as always very much appreciated. I know that there are people out there with a lot of knowledge on market values. However, as the advert states it is priced at the trade in value on which the new car has been ordered hence the starting price! There is scope for a discount if we sell the car first but dont really see the point in dropping the price below the part ex offer! Its good to know that they have been offered what appears to be a very strong value, out of interest what do people think it should be sold at? Calm Chris
Back in Jan / Feb I was attending auctions of accident exchange, BMW Open UK and BMW leasing (forgot the name). The few 320 C SE that went under the hammer were in the range £20k-£22k, all with leather, pro sat nav, bluetooth etc/ The cars were all Dec 06 / Jan 07 one year old. So your with the newer engine, light crank and the full basket of extras would be £23- £25k. If you've been offered £27k that's a top, top price (well done). Has the new car been sold at full RRP for those p/ex figures?
paul_tdi
They did manage to negotiate a sensible discount and benfitted from a few package deals on the extras. They have basically offered a £2k discount if sold privataely over the part ex deal so I suspect that they have over valued their car so when it comes to selling the profit is less for tax purposes? It is certainly not worth us dropping the price to what it should be as there would be more inconvenience for less gain. Thanks for the info Chris, very much appreciated. TBH I dont expect it to sell but you never know!
