Just a quick heads up for anyone in the Worthing area; popped in to Worthing Audi to buy some euro plates for my car this morning. Plates need to be made, so have to go back in the week to pick them up - they'll be fitted FOC 169144-ok.gif Oh, and the price? Under £25, so less than Halfords beerchug.gif

Great service and friendly staff - will definitely be using again 169144-ok.gif

There was one more thing as well - should have confessed earlier blush.gif Managed to take a chunk out of one my alloys last week, and make a bit of a mess of it. I had emailed them for a quote for a replacement (18" 5 spoke 'RS' style). The cost? £391 yelrotflmao.gif Chris, the aftersales advisor who'd emailed me the price recognised my numberplate as I was parking laugh.gif and offered to get me a quote for a refurb instead - great customer serice IMO 169144-ok.gif

Plates fitted this afternoon. And as a bonus they replaced the tax disc holder and keyrings as well 169144-ok.gif Only a small thing I know, but a nice touch nontheless I thought - everything matches smile.gif The whole car has now been re-branded from Cardiff Audi to Worthing Audi yelrotflmao.gif

Alse booked in for alloy refurb in two weeks time, with free collection/delivery. Great service all round I thought beerchug.gif

  • 5 weeks later...

After postponing for a couple of weeks (once instigated by them due to bad weather and once by me) the car went in last week to have 2 alloys refurbed. My partner managed to mangle another one a week or so ago :ffs:

After they'd been done the service advisor wasn't happy with them so, after calling me, sent them away to another outfit - something to do with the satin finish:confused: In the mean time they've lent me an A4 2.0T FSI S-Line SE as a courtesy car - I've had it for 5 days so far, and they're honouring the original quote

Mine's actually a '57 plate - I got it earlier in the year. There a couple of pictures in this quick review I did here: http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/showthread.php?t=107184

Someone nearby has just got an '08 plate one though; it's black (non metallic as far as I can see), and I did see one the same colour as my courtesy car on my way home from work; it doesn't work as well on the cab I don't think; the black roof seems to clash slightly, and I think the red roof would be a bit too much...

New to audi's and being from worthing thought I'd ask your opinion on a couple of things.

Who/where are the best specialists other than audi worthing in the area and are they any good?

Secondly have you had you cars serviced by them yet and if so how much? (audi worthing)

Cheers Gaz

Hi Gaz - welcome to TSN

We've not used Worthing Audi to have either of our cars serviced; they've not done enough miles yet... However, based on their the stuff we have used them for (warranty work on the A3, number plates and a wheel refurb on the A4) and the helpfulness of the service and parts guys I'll definitely be using them for servicing. The A3 is due a service in around 5k miles, and the A4 in 7k miles. Hopefully they won't both end up being due at the same time :o

As for specialsits in the area, again I've not needed one so have no personal experience; for my old E30 BMW I use a local garage in Arundel who have always been very good +++

One of the local VW-Audi group independants is John Mitchell at JMR in Littlehampton (07974 020031). Dealer trained on the original ur-Quattros and a lifelong marque fan.

You could do worse than giving him a try. Hw will have a look at your car, discuss with you what you would like done, and then advise you accordingly. All genuine parts, MOTs arranged, a/c regassed, Miltek/Bilstein to name a few.

John, with an A4 maintained happily by JMR!
