So I'm sat here watching Golf vs Scooby.

Accordign to VBH - Scooby is faster acceleration, faster out of a corner, great handling, good brakes and on fastest part of the circuit the car is 10mph faster than the golf - and yet the golf is 3 seconds quicker around the track..... So this leads me to believe that if the Scooby is better in all those areas then VW have developed somekind of temporal shift technology?

She does talk rubbish....

What a shocking programme - it was bad enough before this shoot out, but that was just crazy. Handled better, much faster and accelerated quicker - on the power sooner - and yet slower round the track. What a load of nonsense.

As mentioned before think Fifth Gear is a dreadfully boring programme that has no real content. I'll not go out of my way to watch it anymore.

Apparently, they rather slated the Lotus?

Plato said it had some flat spots. The handling was such that it wouldn't get the tail out, just spin the inside wheel and commented the ergonomics were terrible. But apart from that he liked it 169144-ok.gif

The "shoot out" every week is just embarassing, I don't honestly know what they are think about. I'm aware it's a blatant copy of the Top Gear test track laps but just doesn't work like it does in TG.

At least only one more to go 169144-ok.gif

Was I the only person that thought the scooby looked like it had really soft suspension and very little grip in the corners. Its that that killed the laptime, in comparison the GTI looked very flat and composed even despite the power difference and the ability to pull the car out of the corner earlier. smirk.gif
