cruiser647 Posted March 19, 2008 Report Share Posted March 19, 2008 Why are Z rated tyres cheaper than the equivalent V? I just had a quote for 2 Conti Sport Contact 2's. The V's were £75 each and the Z's £72? W's were also £74. I would have thought the higher the rating, the more expensive? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Cuprabob Posted March 19, 2008 Report Share Posted March 19, 2008 It's probably because at that particular size the "Z" rated tyre is the more common fitment and as such you are benefiting from the economies of scale in the distributor network.
