AC Whine

I have this on mine. Not enough to annoy, but noticable. Probably the magnetic clutch, I will live with it as it disapears at speed and change when it becomes intrusive. To confirm it is the clutch just switch the compressor off by selecting recirc. If the noise goes you know what it is.

AC Whine will be bearings on the compressor. It only gets worse over time, answer is to replace compressor. Its usually a little squeaky noise, rev related with the A/C on.

You can test it by switching the climate to ECON mode, which turns off the A/C, or turn off the climate altogether. I think Mike was having a very rare off moment suggesting Recirc would test the theory 169144-ok.gif
