Ken1
Well after 3 years of joy my 05 GTI was traded this afternoon for a 2007 R32! Was sorry to see her go but lets see how I get on with the R. I must say apart from anything else I really like the look of the R , and that is not to say by any means that I think it is any more easy on the eye than the GTI , just different. Tarmac_Terrorist
Enjoy your new R. How many miles did you cover in your GTI? Any problems?
Ken1
Covered approx 48000 kms so I guess about 30000 miles only in 3 years. No major problems just niggles at the begining all covered under warranty including replacing the steering rack. Overall it was a super motor and really enjoyed having it. The new R is about 10 months old with 10,000 kms on and really is as new. It's silver 5 dr , dsg , with leather , sunroof , armrest , cruise control and park distance control. The seats look like racing seats not sure if they are recarro or not. There is some noise off it ! I am getting my sat nav and phatnoise from the gti put into it today. I will post some pics later , it rained all day after I collected it so its a bit dirty now.The ride seems a little smoother than the GTI , less road noise on first impressions and also not sure if it takes off as quickly as the GTI but as I said only first impressions. I do notice that they is no electric lumbar support on the front seats as in the GTI and also notice that the arm rest has no cooling function in it as in my GTI!
