ant
My air-con is not that cold and a mate has all the kit, so i get a free refill. The problem is we can only find one valve (the one near/on the radiator) my friend is convinced that there should be an upper and lower valve, does anyone know where the other can found? 97 3.
davido140
I had a top up only yesterday! I got a DIY kit, found the lower nozzle on the airon heat exchanger, also found another nozzle to the passengers side of the aircon intake in the centre of the scuttle panel. Kit didnt fit either. The chaps at quickfit topped it up via the larger one on the front, I did point out the other one and he said its not that one, I just figured if they blow it up they pay! Works a treat now. (£45 from quick fit )

davido140
Mines the 4.2 S8, so might be different to yours. Sorry didnt spot yours was a different model. It "should" be do-able from the big nozzle at the front, it seemed to work fine for mine. Im sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly though

Atomic
Sorry in advance I know this is off topic as far as forum is concerned (i.e. car/a8) but does the same process apply to home aircon units? I've had a house aircon unit in the garage packaged up now for the last 18 months, the problem being how do you purge the piping of air when installing and how to assure that the gas etc. is up to pressure. I'm assuming that overall the system works in the same principle as a car system. How do these kits work? is there a idiots guide to them anywhere? LostKiwi
Had mine done last weekend - only the one valve on mine that we could find so used that - its the one down by the grille that you found already. Works a treat now!
