Thats the stupid thing. It was the slowest ride I can remember? The MV was a newbie and prolly got caught out on the gravel. The road had been resurfaced. The other 2 went down on the same corner. It does tighten up, but the first to go has been there poss quite a few times and I think the other guy poss just followed him in?

I've just read the whole thread and it sums up why I wouldn't attend to be honest.

Some have the view that it's a ride for all and everyone goes at their own pace. Others suggest that perhaps it's not the place for the lesser experienced because it's basically a bit of a hoon (using my own words).

When there's a mix of opinions then there's confusion and TBH I don't want to get in the mix when I'm still learning the ropes.

More interestingly than my comments above, I noticed you're in the EAMG. I joined on the meet night at the beginning of the month and went out on the Sunday for my first observed ride.

I was actually very proud of the feedback as it appears despite me only riding for 2-3 months, my car Roadcraft skills have transferred reasonably well. I obviously have a huge way to go but seeing my report full of the word "good" was reassuring. I rode back home from Chelmsford with the Chris Reed and it was great to follow him at a rate of "reasonable progress".

Chelsea Mick is hopefully coming to the next Tuesday meet as well.

It seems our paths are crossing ;)

Chris is The Man If you see him before I do, please remember me to him (George in Hatton Garden). I'm SneakyMcC on there site too, I think?

I may take a group up to the EAMG next group night. We'll be riding from East London/Romford. I'm the Scandinavian looking bloke in the Red & white MW leathers in the pic above pushing the MV, if you see me. Please come say hello!
