Jambo1874
Hiya, I'm not sure if your Audi system is the same as VW Premium Bluetooth? We had the same issues as to what was compatible with the VW set up on our Tiguan. 1-VW / Audi should be able to give you a list of compatible phones. VW's list was around 3 years old!! 2- VW were absolutely useless. 3-I did all the research and knew I needed an rSAP compatible phone. rSAP is Volkswagens version of SAP or Sim Access Protocol. Ie your system reads the info off your sim card and onto the car kit. Sony phones (we had K800i) were not compatible as are almost all Sonys. They don't use SAP at all according to their tech department. I did call Nokia and found out that a lot of the Nseries phones are compatible **Check first**. Our neighbour had an N95 8gb which was compatible so we have got these phones and it works very well. I would suggest you check the tech specs for the car and see if it states rSAP or similar. If so then veer towards a Nokia. I fancied the C902 but was assured by Sony that in our case it would not be compatible. Sorry I don't have much technical info but this is what I have found over the last few weeks. Hope this is of use.
craigyb
As no car model has been mentioned it's a hard thing to guess, but lets just say the TT/A3/A4(old shape)/R8 do not have SAP and the SOny Ericsson phones are usually 100% compatable. The new A4/A5/A6/A8/Q7 can have either the non SAP or SAP systems. With Audi, phones with a cradle plate in the armrest or on the dash are normal non SAP. Let me also say that the SAP systems can be used in non SAP mode, so again your SE 902 should be fully compatable.

jasondavidwade
Thanks for the replies. Got the phone and it works straight away. For the record it's a 57 plate A4 with RNS-E, bluetooth module was fitted late 2007 by Craig.

Copy your phone numbers to the sim, then next time the car and phone connect you may get the numbers showing on the dash. You need to press the left menu button on the steering wheel to see the phone SIM contacts. thats how mine works, You can also program the voice dial option if you have it on car. (that ones means getting the car handbook out).
